During the summer months a popular night market is held along the promenade at the port. The main high street, Carretera d'Andratx is lined with a great selection of shops, fashion boutiques, cafes and restaurants and is a magnet for tourists day and night.
The main beach of Portals Nous is the stunning Plaja de S'Oratori also known as Cala Portals Nous, a sandy beach of a 100 metres with beautiful turqoise sea and great facilities. The other beach which is more of a small bay is Cala Bendinat.

Located perfectly only 12km from the capital and sitting next to the Puerto Portals, Portals Nous is a perfect beach destination of white sandy beaches running into the turquoise Mediterranean. There is something for everyone with interesting places to visit and fabulous shopping in the numerous designer outlets. With excellent restaurants and night life that would rival the most cosmopolitan cities, its difficult not to have a great time in Portals Nous.
