In fact, Santorni was devastated by an enormous volcanic eruption some 3000 years ago that gives its unique landscape today.
When people think about Santorini, it's the views of Oia with its spectacular panoramas, romantic sunsets and the volcanic-sand beaches made up of black, red and white lava pebbles.
