Fira is the capital of Santorini one of the most popular and prettiest villages in the Cyclades islands in the Aegean Sea. It sits on the west coast of the island, opposite the volcano and the two volcanic islands, Palaia Kammeni and Nea Kammeni. Fira it is famous for its whitewashed houses that cling to the multicolored volcanic cliffs which stretch up from the the underwatwer volcanic crater. In fact, Santorni was devastated by an enormous volcanic eruption in 1613 BC that gives its unique landscape today.
When people think about Santorini, it's the views of Fria with its spectacular panoramas, romantic sunsets and the volcanic-sand beaches made up of black, red and white lava pebbles.
