Best time to visit
If you are looking for sunshine and hot temperatures, the best time to visit the Amalfi Coast is from May to September with temperatures soaring past 30°C in July and August. The downside to staying on the Amalfo Coast during this time coincides with the peak tourist season. The ledgendary and spectacular SS163 coastal road, is packed with traffic during this time and getting anywhere at this time of year is at a snail's pace. For a more relaxing experience, April and October are the best months where the temperatures are still warm and the resorts are far less crowded.
