The Algarve is an all year round destination thanks to its glorious climate. The best time to visit is from April to the end of September when the days are long and warm. During that period the temperature ranges from a pleasant 23 degrees peaking in the late thirties in July and August with hardly any rain. If it does rain, it tends to be at night which is perfect and produces some lush landscape. The weather in the winter is very pleasant with temperatures generally in the early 20s, making it the ideal destination for some winter sun.
