How to get to Sarasota
By plane
Flying in to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport is the best option as it is just 4 miles north of the city centre.
However, from Europe, most airlines fly in to Tampa where it will take around an hours drive.
By car
If you're driving from Tampa International Airport, the fastest and easiest route is via St Petersburg on Interstate 275 and takes around 1 hour.
By train
There are 2 Amtrak railway stations - one in sarasota that is 7 miles from the centre and the other at Bradenton 11 miles away. Taxis to down town are plentiful and there are regular buses.
