Porto villa holidays, Corsica Holiday rentals - villas & holiday homes to rent in Porto
Porto is a village on the west of Corsica, overlooking the Golfe de Porto which is one of Corsica's most famous landscapes due to its dramatic sculpted red rocks and sweeping bays. In fact here you will find some of the most scenic highlights in all of Corsica which is the main attraction in Porto, together with activities in the surrounding mountains.
The pretty village of Porto extends over quite a large distance, built along the river valley with the spectacular backdrop of the tall looming mountains. At the bustling port you will find the historic part of the village which is now filled with shops and resturants. Here you can catch daily boat trips to see the magnificent scenery of the red granite cliffs of Les Calanches. They soar out of the turquoise waters which have sculpted them by erosion and are now a UNESCO world heritage site. At the other side of the port there is a sandy beach.
