Pals is a beautiful medieval town found in Catalonia on the Costa Brava, which is just a few kilometres from the sea in the heart of the Bay of Emporda. It is well known with golf enthusiasts for having on of the most prestigious courses in Spain, which hosts many international competitions.
Venturing up the winding streets to the medieval town you are rewarded with a stunning view of the surrounding countryside. There are some cafes here perfect for watching the world go by and Catalan pottery shops selling the colourful pottery made in the area.
For those seeking a beach there is Platja de Pals with its fine golden sands and views over to the Medes Islands. It is one of the longest beaches on the Costa Brava, and is largly unspoilt backed with pine forests, sand dunes and natural grasses.
