Ingenio self catering holidays - located in the eastern part of the island just 25 km from the capital city of Las Palmas, Igenio has the best of both worlds. On the one hand it has El Burrero beach which is very popular on windy days for windsurfing and sailing. On the other hand, it is home to the Los Marteles Crateris which tops out at 1200m.

Ingenio is a tradition town situated between the mountains and the Atlantic ocean, surrounded by lush flora and is famous on Gran Canaria for its handcrafts which are largely lace and stone work. In town there is a museum dedicated to its rich history with workshops also available. Ingenio has many wonderful, interesting places to see and explore including its charming picturesque old town, with the beautiful square of La Candelaria. Here you will also find its church of the same name. Just outside of town you will find the Guayadeque ravine where you can explore the natural and man-made cave houses.
