Imperia self catering holidays A stunning coastal resort on the Riviera dei Fiori, Liguria
Self catering holidays in Imperia - a charming and picuresque town sitting on the coast of northern Italy north of San Remo on the Ligurian coast. There are two distinct parts of the city. Porto Maurizio is the tourist hub whereas Oneglio is largely dedicated to the production of olives and flowers which are the two most famous exports.
Whilst a vibrant and modern cosmopolitan town, Imperia retains its rich culture and history as can be seen in the old town, also known as Parasio, with its magnificent colourful orange coloured buildings and Liguria's largest church, Cathedral of San Maurizio. The narrow cobbled streets are lined with cafes and small restaurants and is a magnet for tourists day and night.
