The first town to welcome tourists to the island back in the sixties, it is a vibrant resort with plenty to explore from important historical ruins to the exciting nightlife with its many restaurants, lively bars, tradition tavernas, shops and markets. Suitable for families and couples alike, there is something for everyone with a huge range of activities on offer.
The towns main beach, Ialyssos Beach is part sandy, part pebbly beach. The sea in high season is wonderfully warm and crystal clear with many shades of beautiful blue. It can be windy, a paradise for wind surfers. Sunbeds and parasols are avalible and some lovely beach bars to enjoy a cocktail watching the sunset.
