Garrucha is a lovely traditional old Spanish fishing town dating back to the 16th century. Sitting along 8kms of wide sandy beaches on the Costa Almeria on the sun drenched Andulasia coast, Garrucha has been attracting tourists for generations. As a fishing village, it is known for its wonderful seafood restaurants and fabulous sandy beach. With a palm lined 2km promenade stretching the length of the town, Garrucha has many beach bars to chose from.
For shopping, there is nothing better than the local Friday street market that sell everything from clothes and leather goods to fresh fruit and vegetables.
