Elounda is one of the most popular destinations for luxury on Crete due to the many five star hotels just outside of the town. Located on the northern coast, it is a 15 minute drive away from Agios Nikolas. A bustling seaside town, with a colouful and lively harbour with many quality restaurants, bars and authentic Greek tavernas. The town looks out to the intriguing Spinalonga Island, Crete's most visited site. Eloundas main beach is a Blue flag rated 200 metre stretch of golden sand, as does the quieter Driros Beach which is a 15 minute walk along the coastal path.

A 30 minute drive away is the Minoan Palace of Malia, here you can visit ruins dating back to 1450 BC. There are several travel agencies which will organise bus and boat trips around the island and beyond as well as scooter and ATV rental. Elounda has plenty of activities and entertainment on offer. A great choice of watersports and beach restaurants and bars to suit every taste and budjet. Elounda is also one of the most popular nightspots on the island, both for tourists and Greeks.
