Bellano sits on the headland on the middle Eastern side of Lake Como a few km north of Veranna which is the ferry hub. A compact village of just over 3000 residents providing all the local amenities. The resort is famous for l'Orrido which is a steep gorge formed by the driving forces of the Pioverna torrent.
During the summer, the beach and lido with it's outdoor pool are very popular and the promenade is lined with cafes, bars and several restaurants.
