Overview

Around Eleuthera, there is plenty to see and do from lazy days on the fabulous beaches to visiting the neighbouring islands and cays. Eleuthera, like the rest of the Bahamas has a tropical savannah climate with two seasons. Summer runs from May until October where temperatures can often reach 33°C and above. During the summer, humidity is high so its imprtant that your vacation rental has air conditioning. This time of year means the sea is warm - ideal for swimming and snorkeling but you should expect short bursts of heavy rain followed by clear skies. November to May is the winter season with cooler temperatures, little rain and on occasion, strong winds with a chance of a hurricane between September and November.
